Each individual meal comes sealed in
a waterproof airtight polymer bag, and includes an entrée, side dish,
crackers or bread, peanut butter or cheese spread, snack, dessert and or
candy, and a hot or cold beverage base. They also feature amenities
like a long handle spoon, napkins, matches, creamer, sugar, salt, and
gum. Some have hot beverages or hot sauce, depending on the meal. Each
meal provides around 1200 calories for an active person on the move, and
is tailored to provide a good mix of protein, fat, and carbs
(13/36/51%) for optimum nutrition.
Whether camping, hiking, hunting,
traveling, or simply staying prepared for emergencies, MREs offer a
simple, easy-to-store, easy-to-transport package that can mean a hot,
nutritional, and filling meal whenever or wherever you need. These can
be eaten hot (using the heater, or pot of boiling water), or cold. All
food has been cooked and is ready to eat. No further cooking or heating
up is necessary.
You can choose from "A" Case which would be meals 1-12, or "B" Case which would be meals 13-24. You can see which meals these are in the pictures below.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: MRE Test/Inspection Date vs. Expiration Date
MREs are designed to be shelf-stable for extended periods under proper storage conditions. Unlike traditional food products, MRE's do not have an expiration date. Instead, they are assigned a test/inspection date, which is used to evaluate the product's quality and integrity.
Test/Inspection Date: This date is provided by the manufacturer as a guideline for periodic quality checks. It does not indicate spoilage or a need to discard the product. If properly stored, the MREs can remain safe for consumption well beyond this date.
Shelf Life & Storage Guidelines: MREs stored at room temperature (75 degrees F or lower) can last 5+ years beyond the inspection date. If stored at cooler temperatures (below 60 degrees F), MREs may remain viable for 10 years or longer.
