The Massif Army Combat Shirt (ACS) Type I is a flame-resistant (FR) performance garment designed specifically for U.S. Army soldiers to be worn under ballistic body armor in hot, high-stress environments. The defining feature of the Type I is its mock turtle neck collar, distinguishing it from the Type II, which features a quarter-zip mandarin-style collar.

- Torso: 60% Cotton, 24% Rayon, 8% Polyester, 8% Spandex blend for high breathability, moisture-wicking, and 4-way stretch.
- Sleeves: 95% Cotton, 5% Spandex for increased durability and abrasion resistance.
- Protection: Lightweight elbow pads reinforced with SuperFabric brand material for abrasion resistance and a non-slip texture.

- Low-profile zippered shoulder pockets and a double pen pocket on the left forearm.
