Used USGI Lensatic Compass - Cammenga/Stocker & Yale

The USGI Lensatic compass is so-called because it has a magnifying lens with which to observe the compass scales while simultaneously eyeballing a landmark by means of the wire in the lid and a slot in the lensholder. Folding the lensholder down lifts and immobilizes the compass card, thereby protecting its needle bearing while in transit.

These are actual US Military Issue, lensatic compasses made in the U.S.A by either Cammenga, or Stocker & Yale. We have found dates of manufacture anywhere from 1972 to 2008.
Cammenga models are either model 27 Phosphorescent, or 3H Tritium.
Stocker & Yale are all model SandY-183 (3H) Tritium.
All compasses have been recalibrated to make sure they function properly and point North.
Case conditions vary but are in overall used very good condition. Some will have scratches, some might have minor pitting.
Case color will be various shades of Olive Green. Could be dark, could be light
Crystals will be clear and bright
Bezels will rotate and hold properly.
Compasses will NOT come with lanyard or case

PLEASE NOTE: BECUASE OF THEIR AGE WE WIIL NOT/CANNOT GUARANTEE THE TRITIUM MODELS WILL ACTUALLY STILL "GLOW" IN THE DARK ALL THE TIME LIKE THEY DID WHEN THEY WERE NEW. ASSUME THEY WILL NOT.
